DFLP: Calls for the strongest condemnation of Israeli piracy against the Freedom Flotilla and for decisive action against Israeli fascism

Oct 2, 2025

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine called for the strongest condemnation of the naval piracy committed by the Israeli occupation state against the Freedom Flotilla, including the arrest of its activists, the sinking of some of its ships, and the confiscation of the food, medicine, and baby milk it was carrying to our besieged people in the Gaza Strip.
The Democratic Front stated that the occupying power›s attack on the Freedom Flotilla, comprising more than 550 activists, constitutes a blatant challenge to the international will calling for an end to the brutal blockade and siege of our people, an immediate and unconditional cessation of hostilities, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the enabling of our people to determine their own destiny and choose their own national leadership. This is an integral part of the rights of the Palestinian people everywhere and a fundamental pillar of the State of Palestine, which is recognized by 157 member states of the United Nations.
The Democratic Front addressed the freedom activists aboard the Global Freedom Flotilla, stating: «By confronting Israeli fascism, representing the conscience of humanity, and advocating for a just peace based on international law and conventions, you embody a multi-faceted movement, each of you expressing yourselves with sincerity and clarity. Our people, who follow the news of your resistance, know how to honor your great sacrifices and will forever remember them in the pages of our struggle for liberation».
In this context, the Democratic Front called for a broader global movement against Israeli piracy and aggression, and for the immediate release of the prisoners from the Freedom Flotilla, who include politicians, parliamentarians, human rights activists, journalists, artists, theater and film professionals, and others.
It also called for demonstrations outside the embassies of the occupying state, demanding their closure and the expulsion of their staff, and a complete boycott of Israel, including halting the supply of weapons and ammunition to it. Furthermore, it urged the filing of a complaint with the International Court of Justice against Israeli war crimes, including the attack on the Freedom Flotilla and the arrest of its activists in international waters during a peaceful mission to deliver humanitarian aid—milk and medicine—to children in Gaza to prevent them from dying of starvation.
