The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister upon his arrival in Tel Aviv, returning from Washington after meeting with President Trump. In his statements, he reiterated his rejection of a Palestinian state, emphasizing that he did not agree to the establishment of such a state as part of Trump›s plan, describing it as «suicide for Israel».
The Democratic Front stated that in his blatant political maneuvers, Netanyahu continues to manipulate words and positions. From his speech at the UN General Assembly, in which he reiterated his declaration of war against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran, and his rejection of a Palestinian state and his insistence on annexing the West Bank, to his remarks at the press conference with President Trump at the White House, where he declared his agreement with Trump›s plan in its entirety, including the vague reference to a Palestinian state, and finally to his statements in Tel Aviv upon his return from Washington—all of these actions collectively confirm that Netanyahu›s approach remains unchanged, and that he continues to align himself with his partners Smotrich and Ben-Gvir. He continues to rely on force as a means of achieving his colonialist ambitions in the region, refusing to recognize the legitimate national rights of our people, as guaranteed by international law, the resolutions of the United Nations, and the rulings of the International Court of Justice.
The Democratic Front emphasized that without the open support provided by President Trump to Netanyahu, the political cover he afforded him, and the efforts he made at the White House to lift his international isolation and remove the stigma of being an individual wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes, Netanyahu would not have taken the actions he did, especially after Trump tasked him with «completing the mission» in the Gaza Strip to pave the way for his proposed peace plan.
