DFLP: Rebuilding the Palestinian political system and the Palestinian Authority according to Washington›s standards and conditions does not constitute protection for the «two-state solution»

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine commented on what was revealed about the deliberations of the “Conference for the Protection of the Two-State Solution,” which began yesterday at the United Nations headquarters, under Saudi-French sponsorship. It said: “The condition of rebuilding the Palestinian political system and the Palestinian Authority according to the standards and requirements of the United States is not the safe path to the “two-state solution,” and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, with its geographically contiguous territory, free of any settlement or military site of the occupation army, and free of any conditions that affect the sovereignty of the state and its people on land, sea, and air.”
The Democratic Front added: “The policy of begging is also not the way to protect the “two-state solution.” Therefore, the claim that US President Trump is keen on the “two-state solution” and the establishment of a Palestinian state is nothing but a distortion of the facts intended to inflate the “two-state solution” conference and give it dimensions that it does not have, as appeared from the interventions of the delegations, unless we exclude the intervention of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights, which dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s with courage that some Arab positions lacked, including, and in particular, the position of the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority in highlighting the massacres and famine in the Gaza Strip, and the destruction, displacement and ethnic cleansing at the hands of the occupation forces in the West Bank.”
In its statement, the Democratic Front expressed its surprise at the Palestinian Authority Prime Minister›s disregard for the national initiative adopted by the Beijing National Dialogue (2024), which was signed by all factions, including the Fatah movement, calling for a national consensus government of active and competent figures to be responsible for administering the Gaza Strip after the departure of the occupation forces.
In this context, the Democratic Front called for not turning the «Two-State Solution» conference into a platform for settling narrow Palestinian differences, including demonization of the resistance and sectarian demands that contravene national consensus regarding the «day after» Gaza.
In conclusion, the Democratic Front called on the “Two-State Solution” conference to be fruitful and truly constitute a step towards achieving our people’s legitimate national rights to freedom, self-determination, and a fully sovereign, independent state with Jerusalem as its capital on the June 4, 1967 borders, and ensuring the right of refugees to return to their homes, and to firmly and sincerely adhere to the relevant international legitimacy resolutions, including Resolution 19/67 (2012) and Resolution 194, and to respect the decisions of the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court related to the Palestinian issue, including criminalizing Israel for committing a war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip, and prosecuting the head of the fascist junta in Israel and others for committing war crimes, and adopting the statements of the Secretary-General and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, especially with regard to the situation in the Gaza Strip, Israel’s crimes, and the hostile actions in the West Bank, as part of the final statement of the conference
