The Legal Department of the Democratic Front: praises lawsuits filed in European countries against those who committed crimes in Palestine

Jul 6, 2025

The Legal Department of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine praised the lawsuits filed in some European countries by human rights organizations and legal bodies against European citizens, accusing them of participating in the genocide alongside the Zionist army against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, or of involvement in crimes related to settlements in the West Bank.
The Legal Department extended its salute to the French association «Lawyers for Justice in the Middle East», which filed a lawsuit before a French court in Paris against French-Israelis and French entities on suspicion of «committing or complicity in the crime of settlement.» This follows the case brought by Ms. Jacqueline Reveau in France and other lawsuits in various European and Western countries.
The Legal Department of the Democratic Front urged all human rights, legal, and humanitarian bodies to file legal cases against citizens of Western countries who participated in the genocide and Israeli crimes in Gaza and the West Bank especially those holding dual nationality, or against companies that collaborated with the occupation and facilitated the commission of murder, settlement crimes, home demolitions, mass displacement, and other violations of international law.
The association stated that its complaint targets French-Israelis living in «illegal settlements» or who joined «the Israeli army, which commits serious violations in the West Bank against Palestinian civilians.» It also targets French institutions that recruit individuals from France to migrate to Israel for the purpose of «residing in illegal settlements.»

The Legal Department of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, while hoping that these cases filed before national courts in Western countries will proceed through sound judicial channels, free from political interference and pressure to which we have grown accustomed, because the entrenchment of a system of impunity would harm both the international judicial system and the values of justice and law in Western countries, calls on all those harmed by Israeli crimes in Gaza and the West Bank to take the initiative to file lawsuits before national courts, especially in countries that uphold the principle of universal jurisdiction. It also urges human rights organizations to encourage individuals to take this step and to provide protection for those who do.
