• We call on the Executive Committee to assume its responsibilities towards our people as the “daily leadership.”
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement saying: “The entry of six trucks into the Gaza Strip, under the pretext of saving our people from starvation, is a blatant step and a deception of public opinion, and evidence of the insistence of the fascist state to continue its aggression using all methods of mass killing to occupy the Gaza Strip, annex it to Israel, and displace its population.”
The Democratic Front added: The occupying state is trying to circumvent the calls and appeals demanding an end to the war, an end to starvation, and the opening of the crossings. This feeble step is nothing more than confirmation of Israel›s defiance of the international community and its sincere calls. This challenge must be met with effective steps that lead to isolating and boycotting Israel to force it to respond to the calls of the United Nations and countries friendly to our Palestinian people.
The Democratic Front said: «Our people in the Gaza Strip, as they suffer the scourge of mass death by fire and hunger, are wondering what Israel›s ambassadors are doing in Arab capitals, and what the ambassadors of some Arab regimes are doing in Tel Aviv. When will the time come for the Arab regimes to take responsible, effective and influential steps to pressure the occupying state to stop the genocide of the people of a state that is a member of the Arab League, that is, a «sister» to the Arab states! And a member of the United Nations?»
The Democratic Front also stated: «Our people wonder every day when the PLO Executive Committee will assume its responsibilities toward our people? And when will we see members of the Executive Committee knocking on the gates of the Gaza Strip at the Rafah crossing to bring in aid, break the siege, and challenge the Israeli war machine?»
The Democratic Front concluded: Our people in the Gaza Strip present an honorable model of a people who refuse humiliation, surrender, abandoning his land and leaving it in response to an Israeli project.
