In a routine procedure that is repeated every day‭, ‬the Israeli occupation committed a new massacre in the‭ ‬‮«‬Mawasi Khan Yunis‮»‬‭ ‬area in the southern Gaza Strip‭, ‬after the tents of the displaced people fleeing the hell of the Israeli bombing were targeted with dozens of missiles fired at them by Israeli planes and drones‭, ‬and the result was more than 100‭ ‬martyrs and more than 250‭ ‬wounded‭, ‬most of them women and children‭.‬

The occupation›s accounts varied regarding the reasons for targeting an area that it knew was sheltering displaced people‭, ‬and despite that‭, ‬it‭ ‬bombed it deliberately‭, ‬knowing that a large number of children and women could be martyred‭:‬

‭- ‬The first account was that the target was leaders from the Hamas movement‭ (‬Mohammed Al-Deif‭) ‬and the commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade in the Al-Qassam Brigades‭ (‬Rafeh Salama‭), ‬to find out later that this account incorrect‭.‬

‭- ‬The second story is that some Hamas leaders‭, ‬military and security personnel‭, ‬were present in the area‭, ‬and that the attack was targeting them‭, ‬but it was also revealed‭, ‬according to the Israeli media‭, ‬that this story was false‭.‬

‭- ‬The third Israeli story about the reasons for the targeting is that a number of resistance fighters were present in the area‭, ‬and that the attack was targeting them directly‭, ‬without the Israeli media mentioning specific names‭..‬

The multiplicity of stories confirms that the Israeli attack deliberately committed a massacre that would result in large numbers of displaced people‭. ‬This is not the first time that the occupation forces have targeted areas crowded with displaced people‭, ‬working to displace the residents to them under the pretext of protecting them from the horrors of war‭, ‬and then they quickly target them with warplanes and heavy artillery‭, ‬including stupid shells weighing more than 1000‭ ‬kg‭, ‬which are mainly intended for‭ ‬buildings and tunnels‭, ‬with the aim of inflicting the greatest losses among citizens‭, ‬and pressuring our people to surrender‭.‬

The decision to carry out the massacre was taken two weeks ago‭, ‬when Israel asked the displaced to evacuate their places towards‭ ‬the‭ ‬“Mawasi Khan Yunis”‭ ‬area‭. ‬At the time‭, ‬the United Nations and the European Union expressed‭ ‬‮«‬concern over the Israeli army›s orders to evacuate civilians from Khan Yunis‭, ‬and that the Israeli forced evacuations create a crisis within the Gaza Strip crisis and lead to the exacerbation of the catastrophic humanitarian situation‭. ‬In addition‭, ‬Palestinian statements warned of the‭ ‬repercussions of the forced evacuations of residents‭.‬

Perhaps the most dangerous thing about the matter is that the area that was bombed was previously classified by the Israeli occupation army as‭ ‬‮«‬safe‮»‬‭, ‬which confirms that the massacre was committed by a conscious decision from the highest political and military levels in Israel‭, ‬which confirms for the thousandth time that there are no safe places in the Gaza Strip‭, ‬and that all the‭ ‬lands of the Strip are targets for Israeli aircraft‭, ‬which rain their fire on the heads of civilians without the slightest consideration for the consequences of that‭.‬

The claim of the occupation forces that they bombed Al-Mawasi under the pretext of pursuing leaders of the resistance‭, ‬who the occupation forces claimed were hiding among civilians‭, ‬is not the first time that the occupation state‭, ‬and its security and military institutions‭, ‬have launched such lies to justify their crimes against civilians‭, ‬and hold the leadership responsible for Resistance is responsible for the massacres‭.‬

We in the‭ ‬‮«‬Foreign Relations Department of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine‮»‬‭ ‬place the new massacre on the minds of all countries of the world‭, ‬especially those allied with the Israeli enemy and partners in its crimes‭, ‬as well as the countries and international organizations that warned the occupation of massacres that will be committed in the southern region‭, ‬which houses hundreds of thousands of displaced persons who fled from the northern and central areas of the Gaza Strip‭.‬

The policy of ethnic cleansing practiced by the fascist Israeli government against our people in the Gaza Strip is a blatant expression of an Israeli challenge to the International Court of Justice and the resolutions of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations and the positions of millions of free people of the world who have not stopped demanding an end‭ ‬to the massacres against Palestinian women and children‭. ‬This requires raising the level of popular movements in the world to pressure the governments of the world for a global awakening of conscience that stops the aggression and holds the Zionist criminals accountable for their crimes and the war of extermination that has been ongoing for more than nine months‭.‬
