The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the European Union‭, ‬to translate its slogans‭, ‬its respect for the‭ ‬principles of international law and its adherence to them‭, ‬and its respect for human rights‭, ‬to recognize the State of Palestine‭, ‬in recognition of the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination on their own land‭, ‬without the conditions of the‭ ‬United States and the occupying state‭, ‬which are working to empty the legitimate national rights of our people from their essence‭, ‬and work in the context to distort and erase them‭, ‬perpetuate the occupation‭, ‬legalize settlement‭, ‬and remain silent on the policy of mass displacement and ethnic cleansing‭.‬

The Democratic Front said‭: ‬The implementation by 3‭ ‬European countries‭ – ‬Ireland‭, ‬Spain and Norway‭ – ‬of their decision to recognize the State of Palestine must constitute a political lesson from which the European Union can draw‭, ‬as required by international laws to take positions consistent with international justice‭, ‬the principles of international law and human rights‭.‬

The Democratic Front pointed out that European colonialism‭, ‬especially Britain and France‭, ‬and with them the United States‭, ‬bears historical responsibility for the tragic fate of our people in light of the French-British mandate‭ (‬colonization‭) ‬of the Middle East and the division of its territories‭, ‬including working to establish the occupying and apartheid state of Israel‭, ‬in compliance with the Balfour Declaration‭.‬

The Democratic Front concluded by calling on the capitals of Western Europe‭, ‬out of respect for democracy‭, ‬as stipulated in their constitutions and laws‭, ‬to listen to the voice of the masses who are still gathering under the banner of Palestine‭, ‬in condemnation of Israeli crimes and the failure of the world to shoulder its responsibilities towards our Palestinian people‭, ‬who is slaughtered every day by a war machine made in the United States and Europe‭.‬
