DFLP: On its national day; the land unites us, the will and resistance liberate us

Mar 30, 2026

On National Land Day (30 / 3), the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement saying: “The land is what unites us, the will and resistance are what liberate us, and our struggle, in all its manifestations and honorable scenes, is moving forward, no matter the difficulties and sacrifices, and no matter the suffering. The victories achieved by our people in their struggle for more than 100 years confirm that their will is stronger than alternative projects and plans, and that their sacrifices create our heroic history, and strengthen the international community’s bias towards our cause and its recognition of our right to freedom, self-determination, independence and return.”
The Democratic Front added: This year we raise the immortal memory of “Land Day”, and we turn our faces to our people in the 1948 territories, who created a legend of steadfastness, which thwarted all projects of Judaization and assimilation, and preserved the history of struggle of our people, and returned the issue to its foundation: It is a struggle for the land, and defending it against all projects of confiscation, plunder, settlement, annexation, and erasing the civilized history of our people.
The Democratic Front affirmed that the ongoing struggle in the West Bank, since the first Israeli invasion in 1967, is about the land and its defense, thwarting projects to confiscate and annex it, and fighting to reclaim it from the clutches of Israeli fascism.
As for the Gaza Strip, where our people have made history with their steadfastness, astonishing and inspiring the world, the struggles and unity between the resistance and the people have proven that the land will remain Palestinian, and that the occupation is destined to end, regardless of its fascist attempts to transform the yellow Line into a new border for the Gaza Strip.
The Democratic Front emphasized that steadfastness is not a given, but rather the fruit of numerous efforts and factors, most importantly, organizing the people, mobilizing their forces, providing the elements and necessities for their resilience, and equipping them with a unified struggle strategy that encompasses all available means on the ground and in the political arena, under a unified national leadership that includes everyone according to the principles of partnership and democratic relations, far removed from policies of unilateralism and decision-making, and from subservience to external promises and conditions.
In the same context, the Democratic Front said: “As we live through extremely turbulent regional conditions in light of the American-Israeli war on the Islamic Republic of Iran and on Lebanon, and in light of the blatant attempts by the American-Israeli alliance to expand the circle of fire to include brotherly Arab countries that have no stake in this war, our cause stands at a dangerous crossroads, especially in light of the danger of the absence of Palestinian national institutions and the attempts to drag our people into a destructive regional project that serves only Washington and Tel Avi; The Democratic Front calls for leaving the state of political confusion and moving to effective and influential practical policies, the first of which is conducting the broadest comprehensive national dialogue to formulate our Palestinian national position on the course of events and their impact, in particular, on the Gaza Strip, and preparing for a national conference in the West Bank to formulate a strategy to confront the annexation and Judaization projects, especially in the city of Jerusalem, where the indicators of the dangers threatening Al-Aqsa Mosque and the national holy sites are very clear.”
The Democratic Front also called for the formulation of a clear national strategy regarding the fate of UNRWA, especially in light of the mass displacement of our people from the camps in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, facing the dangers of fascist Israeli aggression.
The Democratic Front concluded: “Land Day will remain eternal, consecrated by blood more than 100 years ago, and the land will remain Palestinian.”
