Department of External Relations of the Democratic Front: on the Ceasefire in Gaza, The Israeli occupation obstructs the transition to the second phase and continues the war of genocide

Jan 12, 2026

The Department of External Relations of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine addresses all political, party, parliamentary, and popular frameworks worldwide with this message regarding the Israeli occupation’s violations of the ceasefire agreement and their political and humanitarian consequences:
The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip remains subject to daily violations by the Israeli occupation army, through its aircraft that pursue the children and women of Gaza among torn tents, the ruins of destroyed buildings, and displacement and shelter centers, while it continues to destroy what remains of homes within the area classified as the “yellow zone”.
Since the agreement entered into force (from 10 October 2025 until 12 January of this year), the occupation has committed more than 1,193 violations, deliberately killing around 500 civilians, in addition to wounding and arresting hundreds. It has also failed to adhere to its commitments regarding the entry of humanitarian aid: out of 54,000 trucks that were supposed to enter, only 43% have entered, at a daily average not exceeding 255 trucks.
Despite the manufactured uproar surrounding the end of the war, the Peace Council, and the Stabilization Force, our people have not experienced any positive results on the ground. Gaza continues to live under the weight of death, through direct killing, as well as as a result of severe cold and drowning in rainwater. The discussion is now turning toward the second phase of the agreement, which includes three main headings: the issue of weapons, the Stabilization Force in terms of its mandate and areas of deployment, and opening the Strip to the world along with full withdrawal from it.
The Palestinian factions have fulfilled what they committed to, while Israel has not adhered to any clause: neither stopping the aggression, nor allowing the entry of aid, nor withdrawing. It has become clear to the world that Israel is the obstacle to moving to the second phase, as it attempts to impose its own interpretation of the agreement in line with its objectives, especially regarding the issue of weapons, which is supposed to be part of the negotiations of the second phase, not prior to it. The Palestinian factions are managing this file in coordination with the mediators, the guarantor parties, and Arab and Islamic states.
“The Department of External Relations of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine” calls upon all free people around the world, who rose up in support of Gaza, to raise their voices before their governments, parliaments, parties, trade unions, and all popular frameworks, in order to assume humanitarian responsibility toward Gaza and to exert pressure to compel the occupation to withdraw from the yellow zone, open the crossings comprehensively, allow the entry of heavy equipment to remove rubble, provide mobile housing units, release the prisoners, and seriously commence the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
