DFLP: Trump’s lament over the events in Iran exposes his suspicious silence regarding the victims of our people behind the Israeli siege in Gaza

Jan 3, 2026

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine commented on the statements of US President Donald Trump regarding the events in Iran and his threat to intervene if there are casualties in the demonstrations, describing this position as a false lament exposed by his silence on the events taking place in the Gaza Strip, where our people are still falling victim to the hostile actions of the occupation forces, or suffering greatly in harsh climatic conditions, exacerbated by the occupation forces’ insistence on obstructing the entry of shelters that would alleviate our people’s pain and suffering.
The Democratic Front called on the White House administration, and all those who follow it in its positions and policies, to stop the policy of double standards, the worst of which is always the standard by which our Palestinian people, in the homeland and the diaspora, are measured, in the position on the occupation or settlement, or annexation, or house demolitions, or mass arrests, or cold-blooded killings on suspicion, or silence about the suffering of our people in the Gaza Strip, behind the fascist Israeli siege.
In conclusion, the Democratic Front called for respect for the principles of international law and international humanitarian law, and the right of peoples to self-determination on their land freely and democratically, and to stop viewing the world as a golf course where those who consider themselves masters of this universe chatter away.
