The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement congratulating our Palestinian people in the homeland and the diaspora, and all the peoples of the world, on the arrival of the new year 2026, wishing everyone health, safety, happiness and a bright future.
The Democratic Front said: We look forward to the new year being the year of national liberation from the Israeli occupation and all manifestations of settlement and annexation, and that the flags of the fully sovereign independent State of Palestine will fly high on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital, and that the right of return for refugees will be strengthened in light of UN Resolution 194.
The Democratic Front added: We also hope that the peoples of the world will achieve their goals of strengthening their sovereignty over their land and resources and building their nation-states—states of freedom, democracy, social welfare, and justice. We hope that fraternal and peaceful relations will prevail among peoples worldwide, based on respect for their cultures and choices, without discrimination based on race or religion, and far removed from policies of subjugation, domination, and colonial ambitions for the wealth and land of others. This will eliminate policies of force in favor of policies based on the principles of international law, international humanitarian law, the Charter of Human Rights, and resolutions of international legitimacy, including putting an end to armament policies, especially weapons of mass destruction, which threaten all of humanity.
