The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the statements of the Israeli enemy army leadership, considering them a blatant attempt to disrupt the transition to the second phase of the ceasefire plan and the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2803, thus perpetuating the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip and hindering the transition to the recovery, stability and reconstruction phase.
The enemy army command stipulated in a statement that, in order to move to the second phase of the ceasefire plan, the body of the last soldier held by the resistance, which has not yet been found despite the ongoing efforts throughout the Strip, must be recovered. It also stipulated that first; the so-called “disarmament of the resistance and destruction of its infrastructure” must begin.
The Democratic Front said that the conditions fall under the category of the Israeli enemy›s attempt to achieve, through a ceasefire plan, what it failed to achieve in the war of extermination it waged against our people and their resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The Democratic Front also confirmed that these statements reveal the enemy’s intentions to stop the withdrawal from the Strip, to disrupt the opening of the crossings wide, and to prevent the entry of sufficient aid, including shelters for the winter, and heavy equipment to remove rubble, especially from buildings that have begun to collapse under the weight of rain and wind.
The Democratic Front added: The enemy army, on behalf of its fascist political leadership, is trying to perpetuate the hardship of life in the Gaza Strip, while simultaneously threatening to open the Rafah crossing for exit, betting on the displacement of the people of the Strip after it failed to displace them in its brutal war.
The Democratic Front called upon the guarantors of the ceasefire plan, the signatories of the Sharm el-Sheikh Declaration, and the eight Arab-Islamic states to exert the necessary pressure to put an end to the enemy army›s attempts to make the fate of an entire people contingent upon the fate of the body of a soldier killed by the Israeli army itself during its brutal targeting of our people in the war of extermination, or to make the implementation of the plan contingent upon the fulfillment of its ambitions, which it failed to achieve despite employing all means of brutal and mass killing during more than two years of this brutal war.
