DFLP: Condemns Washington’s escalation against the Venezuelan people and calls for an international stance to counter American recklessness

Nov 30, 2025

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine has condemned the escalatory and aggressive steps taken by the United States against the Venezuelan people, the latest of which is the imposition of an air blockade on the country, following the deployment of a naval fleet in the Caribbean that included the strongest American warships, submarines, and aircraft carriers, accompanied by the drums of war and the bombardment of Caracas with threats and encroachments on the nation’s sovereignty.
The Democratic Front stated that Washington’s claim that its escalated aggression against the Venezuelan people and their legitimate leadership is aimed at preventing drug trafficking into the United States is nothing more than a flimsy pretext, easily refuted by reports from international institutions and organizations, and it is merely an attempt to cover up the true objectives of the state of war and the blockade imposed on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The Democratic Front affirmed that the compelling facts leave no doubt that Washington’s objectives in the blockade war against Venezuela are to seize its oil reserves, which constitute 18% of the global reserves, thereby allowing the United States, if successful, to strengthen its control over the global oil markets.
The Democratic Front also affirmed that Washington adopts an antagonistic stance toward Venezuela’s leadership due to its international alliances with countries that Washington considers its enemies, such as the People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, Washington persistently calls on President Maduro, the legitimate leader of the country, to leave and hand over power to U.S. allies, which clearly demonstrates that the core issue is fundamentally political in nature, as Washington seeks to impose its control over all Caribbean countries and opposes the leftward shift expressed by the democratic election results taking place across various parts of Latin America.”
The Democratic Front for Freedom, Peace, and Democracy, along with the free people of the world, has called for standing in solidarity with the Venezuelan people and their legitimate leadership, and for confronting American recklessness toward the world’s peoples and Washington’s attempts to impose its hegemony on countries it views as competitors. This includes imposing extremely high tariffs or resorting to the threat of war on Venezuela’s shores and its sovereign atmosphere.
The Democratic Front concluded by affirming its solidarity, along with our Palestinian people, with Venezuela and its legitimate leadership and its steadfast people, as well as with all peoples striving for freedom, complete independence, and liberation from the politics of subjugation and the intimidation of military force.
