Fahed Suleiman, Secretary-General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, issued an urgent appeal to the Chairman and members of the Executive Committee and leaders of all resistance forces and the national movement, calling for the formation of a unified Palestinian delegation to negotiate with Israel.
The following is the text of the appeal:
On behalf of the DFLP, I call on the Chairman and members of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, and the leaders of all resistance forces and the Palestinian national movement, to immediately agree to form a unified Palestinian delegation, under the banner of the PLO, in accordance with the 2014 formula and on the political basis represented by the Beijing Declaration, which everyone signed, to manage negotiations on implementing the twenty-point plan proposed by President Trump.
This plan links arrangements for ending the war to the political future of the Gaza Strip, leading to the opening of a “credible path toward Palestinian self-determination and statehood.” The Trump plan presents this path as a “possibility.” Israel seeks to fragment the plan into stages in order to extinguish this “possibility.” However, transforming this “possibility” into a “commitment” that would allow for the actual establishment of a state is possible. Its immediate condition is a unified negotiating tool that represents all Palestinians and the adoption of a unified negotiating strategy coordinated with the eight Arab and Islamic countries that contributed to formulating the plan, based on the solidity of the Palestinian steadfastness and the strength of the global uprising against the war of extermination and the tsunami of international recognition of the State of Palestine.
«Our people have paid a heavy price in their battle of steadfastness and in confronting the enemy›s war of extermination. The torrents of blood flowing on the ground of this epic battle cry out to you not to let it go in vain. This is a historic responsibility, and no one will escape accountability for its squandering».
